Arrival in Lhasa – Feel the Spirit of the Plateau: Arrival at Lhasa Gonggar Airport or train station. Warm Tibetan welcome by your guide. Easy transfer to hotel. Rest is important today to help acclimatize. If feeling good, stroll the Barkhor area gently to get your first glimpse of local life. Lhasa Exploration: Norbulingka and Sera Monastery: Visit Norbulingka, the Dalai Lama’s elegant summer residence with lush gardens. Afternoon at Sera Monastery, one of Tibet’s great Gelug monasteries. Enjoy the famous debate session where monks energetically discuss Buddhist philosophy. Altitude: 3,650m Distance: Minimal city driving Overnight Lhasa

Lhasa’s Spiritual Heart: Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple & Barkhor Street: Climb the stairways of the magnificent Potala Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and once the political center of Tibet. Wander Jokhang Temple, Tibet’s most revered spiritual site, and mingle with pilgrims doing kora around Barkhor Street. Altitude: 3,650m Overnight Lhasa

Lhasa – Yamdrok Lake – Gyantse – Shigatse: Leave Lhasa and ascend to Khampa La Pass (4,790m) for a stunning view of Yamdrok Yumtso Lake. Continue across Karo La Pass (5,045m) to see towering glaciers close-up. Stop at Gyantse’s Pelkor Chode Monastery before reaching Shigatse. Altitude: Lhasa (3,650m) - Shigatse (3,800m) Distance: ~360km / ~7 hrs Overnight Shigatse

Shigatse – Everest Base Camp (EBC): Depart Shigatse early. Cross the high Gyatso La Pass (5,248m) and enter the Qomolangma National Nature Reserve. At Rongbuk Monastery, the world’s highest monastery, see majestic Everest up close. Overnight near base camp for a memorable night. Altitude: Shigatse (3,800m) - Everest Base Camp (5,200m) Distance: ~340km / ~7–8 hrs Overnight Rongbuk monastery Hotel or Tent Gusthouse

Everest Base Camp – Peiku Tso Lake – Saga: Catch sunrise over Everest if weather allows. Head west across remote valleys. Stop at Peiku Tso, a stunning blue lake framed by snowy peaks. Continue to the small town of Saga by evening, the gateway to far-western Tibet. Altitude: Everest BC (5,200m) - Saga (4,600m) Distance: ~320km / ~7 hrs Overnight Saga Town

Saga – Zhongba – Darchen (Mt. Kailash Base Town): Cross the vast Tibetan Plateau, passing Zhongba. Reach Darchen, the base town for Mount Kailash pilgrims. Prepare for your kora trek. •Altitude: Saga (4,600m) → Darchen (4,670m) •Distance: ~490km / ~7–8 hrs •Overnight: Darchen

Trek Day 1 – Darchen to Dirapuk Monastery: Start the Kailash kora along Lachu Valley. Walk past prayer flags and herders’ camps. End the day at Dirapuk Monastery with incredible views of Mount Kailash’s north face. •Altitude: Darchen (4,670m) → Dirapuk (5,080m) •Trek Distance: ~12km / ~5–6 hrs •Overnight: Dirapuk Guesthouse

Trek Day 2 – Dirapuk to Zutulpuk Monastery via Drolma La Pass: The most challenging day of the trek. Cross Drolma La Pass (5,630m), the spiritual highlight of the kora. Descend past turquoise lakes to Zutulpuk Monastery. •Altitude: Highest Point: Drolma La (5,630m) •Trek Distance: ~24km / ~8–9 hrs •Overnight: Zutulpuk Guesthouse

Trek Day 3 – Zutulpuk – Darchen; Drive to Lake Manasarovar: Complete the kora and drive to sacred Lake Manasarovar. Rest by the serene lakeside, soaking in the spirituality and natural beauty. •Altitude: Manasarovar (4,590m) •Trek Distance: ~12km •Drive Distance: ~60km •Overnight: Lakeside Guesthouse

Lake Manasarovar – Saga: After a peaceful morning at Manasarovar, drive back across the grand Tibetan Plateau to Saga. •Altitude: Saga (4,600m) •Distance: ~490km / ~7–8 hrs •Overnight: Saga Town

Saga – Shigatse: Retrace your journey eastwards through wide open landscapes, arriving back at Shigatse in the evening. •Altitude: Shigatse (3,800m) •Distance: ~450km / ~7–8 hrs •Overnight: Shigatse

Shigatse – Lhasa via Friendship Highway: Return to Lhasa along the scenic Friendship Highway, reflecting on your incredible journey across Tibet. •Altitude: Lhasa (3,650m) •Distance: ~270km / ~6–7 hrs •Overnight: Lhasa

Departure from Lhasa: Transfer to Lhasa airport or train station. End of a once-in-a-lifetime journey filled with sacred mountains, monasteries, lakes, and memories. •Altitude: 3,650m

If you need help with booking, we’re happy to assist upon request. 4.Single Room Supplement – Tour pricing is based on double occupancy (twin-sharing rooms). If you prefer a private room or room-sharing is unavailable, an additional supplement applies. Please consult your travel advisor for exact rates. 5.Meals Outside Itinerary – Lunch and dinner while in cities, as well as all meals outside of Lhasa and Shigatse, are at your own expense. 6.Tips & Gratuities – Tips for the guide and driver are not included. We suggest budgeting around $7 USD per person per day for both, based on the quality of service received. 7.Force Majeure & Emergencies – Any extra costs due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. natural disasters, traffic restrictions, lost items, visa or flight delays/cancellations, travel insurance, medical treatment, etc.) are not covered. 8.Personal Expenses – Items of a personal nature such as laundry, souvenirs, phone usage, and similar are not included.
