After proper altitude acclimatization, you trek around the holy mountain, crossing the highest passes and visiting ancient monasteries. Arrival at Kyirong Border – Overnight in Kyirong Town (2,800m); Upon crossing the Nepal-Tibet border at Kyirong, you’ll meet your Tibetan guide and driver. After immigration procedures, enjoy a short scenic drive through green valleys and snow-capped peaks to Kyirong Town. Spend the rest of the day resting to begin gradual acclimatization to Tibet’s altitude. Driving Distance: ~20 km . Altitude: 2,800m.Overnight Kyirong town.

Acclimatization Day in Kyirong (2,800m); A full day to adjust to the altitude. Light walking around the peaceful town, visiting a small local monastery or enjoying the serene landscapes is recommended. Good acclimatization today will greatly help for the higher altitude areas ahead. No major drive or trek today Altitude: 2,800m. Overnight Kyirong

Kyirong – Drive to Drongba (4,450m); Start a scenic journey across river valleys, high passes, and open Tibetan landscapes to reach Drongba. The terrain changes dramatically as you ascend to the central plateau. Short stops along the way to appreciate the beauty of the land. Driving Distance: ~310 km | Driving Time: 7–8 hours. Drongba – Drive to Darchen (4,670m); Continue your drive towards Darchen, the base town of sacred Mount Kailash. Upon arrival, rest and prepare for the upcoming kora trek. Driving Distance: ~230 km | Driving Time: 5 hours. Altitude: 4,670m. Overnight Darchen town

Kailash Trek Day 1 – Darchen to Dirapuk Monastery (5,080m); Today begins the spiritual trek around Mount Kailash. Walk across grassy plains and pass by prayer flag-decorated Chuku Monastery before gradually climbing to Dirapuk Monastery, facing the mighty north face of Kailash. Trek Distance: ~20 km | Trekking Time: 6–7 hours Highest Point: 5,080m. Overnight: Dirapuk Guesthouse.

Kailash Trek Day 2 – Dirapuk to Zutulpuk Monastery (4,790m) via Dolma La Pass (5,630m); The hardest but most rewarding day. Start early to ascend steeply to Dolma La Pass, the highest point of the trek. Stunning views and spiritual sites like the Shiva Tsal and Tara rock can be found here. After crossing the pass, descend steep rocky paths to Zutulpuk. Trek Distance: ~22 km | Trekking Time: 8–9 hours. Highest Point: 5,630m. Overnight: Zutulpuk Guesthouse

Kailash Trek Day 3 – Zutulpuk to Darchen (4,670m) – Drive to Lake Manasarovar (4,590m); Complete the final stretch of the Kailash trek with an easy walk along the valley before reaching Darchen. After a short rest, drive to the sacred Lake Manasarovar, one of Tibet’s most revered pilgrimage sites. Trek Distance: ~14 km | Trekking Time: 3–4 hours. Driving Distance to Lake: ~40 km. Lake Manasarovar – Drive to Saga (4,450m); After soaking in the morning tranquility of Lake Manasarovar, set off for a long drive through the beautiful highland deserts and river valleys back toward Saga. Driving Distance: ~490 km. Driving Time: 7–8 hours. Altitude: 4,450m. Overnight Hotel in Saga Town.

Saga – Drive to Kyirong Town (2,800m); Retrace your journey westward, descending back into greener valleys. Arrive once more in Kyirong Town for a relaxing final night in Tibet. Driving Distance: ~310 km. Driving Time: 6–7 hours. Altitude: 2,800m. Overnight Hotel in Kyirong Town.

Kyirong – Cross Border to Nepal; After breakfast, drive to the border checkpoint and cross back into Nepal. Your unforgettable journey through sacred Tibet concludes here.

If you need help with booking, we’re happy to assist upon request. 4.Single Room Supplement – Tour pricing is based on double occupancy (twin-sharing rooms). If you prefer a private room or room-sharing is unavailable, an additional supplement applies. Please consult your travel advisor for exact rates. 5.Meals Outside Itinerary – Lunch and dinner while in cities, as well as all meals outside of Lhasa and Shigatse, are at your own expense. 6.Tips & Gratuities – Tips for the guide and driver are not included. We suggest budgeting around $7 USD per person per day for both, based on the quality of service received. 7.Force Majeure & Emergencies – Any extra costs due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. natural disasters, traffic restrictions, lost items, visa or flight delays/cancellations, travel insurance, medical treatment, etc.) are not covered. 8.Personal Expenses – Items of a personal nature such as laundry, souvenirs, phone usage, and similar are not included.
